Easy Morning Look

Hi! This is my go-to look in the morning.  These are the 8 products I reach for when I don't have a lot of time to get ready but still want to look like I've had a full night's sleep.  

From left to right: Clinique Moisture Sheer Tint (Fair), Revlon Colorstay Pressed Powder (Light), Revlon PhotoReady concealer (Light), Physician's Formula Happy Booster Blush (Natural), Smashbox Photo Finish Eye Primer, Wet n' Wild eyeshadow (Walking on Eggshells), Maybelline The Falsies mascara (Blackest Black), and Maybelline Color Sensational lipstick (Born with It).

And this is me with everything on:

Before makeup, I always use eye and facial moisturizer.  Right now I'm using Lush Enchanted Eye cream around my eyes, and a combination of Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion and Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief for my face.  I use Lush's Lovely Jubblies on my neck.  


Total time this look took me to complete, from moisturizer to final swipe of lipstick: 15 minutes. (I timed myself this morning)

PS - The names on the eyeshadow palette printed in black marker are names of MAC eyeshadows that these shades duplicate or "dupe".  More on this later!

Intro!

Hi, I'm Holly.  If you haven't found your way here from my other blog Baninamommy.blogspot.com , then let me introduce myself.  I'm a mom of nearly 3 year old twins (boy, girl).  This is my first blog experience.  I thought I would share some of my thoughts and experience on a little obsession of mine: makeup.  I am not a makeup artist.  My style is very easy breezy.  It has to be, I just don't have the time in the morning to pile on a ton of product.  However, I do try to look polished for work (or at least look like I didn't just crawl out of bed and throw on something piled on the floor from earlier in the week and run out the door).   I will talk more about my strategies.  


I will also comment on my favourite products and do some reviews on new products that interest me enough to buy.  I mainly buy drugstore but I do splurge once in a while on some high end products when the budget allows or when daddy goes and buys an xbox game for himself I'll think yeah, I wouldn't mind a new MAC lipstick.
